GenZform includes keyboard shortcuts to help you work faster and more efficiently. Learn the shortcuts below to speed up your form creation workflow.

AI Chat Shortcuts

Use these shortcuts when working with the AI chat panel in the form editor.

`Enter`	Send your message to the AI
`Shift + Enter`	Add a new line without sending
`↑` (Arrow Up)	Recall your last message (when input is empty)

Use Shift + Enter to write multi-line prompts for more detailed form requests before sending.

Editor Shortcuts

Navigate the form editor more efficiently with these shortcuts.

`Ctrl + B` (Windows/Linux)	Toggle AI chat sidebar
`Cmd + B` (Mac)	Toggle AI chat sidebar
`Escape`	Close popups and dialogs

Form Preview Shortcuts

When filling out forms in preview mode or as a respondent, these shortcuts help navigate faster.

`1-9`	Quick select numbered options (radio buttons, checkboxes)
`Enter`	Submit the current page or field
`Tab`	Move to the next field
`Shift + Tab`	Move to the previous field

Number key shortcuts work with radio buttons, checkboxes, and selection cards when the form uses the Focused (Typeform-style) template.

Browser Shortcuts

These are standard browser shortcuts that work throughout GenZform.

Tips for Efficient Form Building

Quick Edits with AI

Type your change request in the AI chat
Press Enter to send
Wait for the AI to update your form
Use ↑ to modify your last prompt if needed

Multi-Line Prompts

For complex requests, use Shift + Enter to create detailed prompts:

Add three new fields:
- A dropdown for department selection
- A text field for employee ID
- A date picker for start date

Then press Enter to send.

Recalling Previous Messages

If you want to refine a previous request:

Clear the input field
Press ↑ (Arrow Up)
Your last message appears
Edit and press Enter to send

Do keyboard shortcuts work on mobile?

Most keyboard shortcuts are designed for desktop use. On mobile devices, use touch interactions instead.

Can I customize keyboard shortcuts?

Currently, keyboard shortcuts cannot be customized. We use standard shortcuts that are familiar to most users.

Why doesn't Ctrl+Z undo my AI changes?

AI-generated changes are made to the form structure, not text content. To undo AI changes, ask the AI to revert your change or use the chat history to reference previous versions.
