Connecting to Claude.ai

This section demonstrates how to connect GenZform's MCP server to Claude.ai. The process is similar for other MCP-compatible platforms.

Claude Paid Plan Required: Custom MCP connectors in Claude.ai are only available for paid plans (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). Free plan users can browse the directory but cannot add custom connectors.

Open Claude.ai Settings

Select Settings from the menu (you can also press Shift+Ctrl+, as a shortcut).

Navigate to Connectors

In the Settings sidebar, click on Connectors.

You'll see a list of your connected tools. Look for the Browse connectors button at the top right, but we'll use the custom connector option instead.

Add Custom Connector

On the Connectors page, scroll down to find the "Add custom connector" button.

Note: The "Add custom connector" button is only visible to users with paid Claude plans (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). If you don't see this button, you'll need to upgrade your plan.

Click "Add custom connector" to open the connector setup dialog.

Enter GenZform MCP Server URL

In the connector setup dialog, enter the following information:

Name: GenZform (or any name you prefer)
URL: https://genzform.com/api/mcp

Make sure to enter the URL exactly as shown: https://genzform.com/api/mcp

Click Connect to proceed to authentication.

Authenticate Your GenZform Account

A new window will open asking you to authorize the AI platform to access your GenZform account.

Review the permissions requested:

View your forms and their settings
Create and modify forms
View form responses and submissions
Access your account information

Click Allow or Authorize to grant access.

Confirm Connection

After authorization, you'll be redirected back to Claude. The GenZform connector will now appear in your connected tools list.

To use it in a conversation, open the Search and tools menu in your chat interface and enable the GenZform connector.

Security and Permissions

Important: Only connect to the GenZform MCP server if you trust the AI platform you're using. Understand what permissions you're granting before authorizing access.

When you connect the GenZform MCP server, the AI platform gains the ability to:

Revoking Access
