GenZform lets you create various types of interactive content, each designed for different purposes. Understanding these types helps you choose the right one for your needs.

Available Form Types

When you create new content in GenZform, you can choose from five different types:

Forms

Best for: Collecting structured information from users

Forms are ideal when you need to gather specific data from respondents. They're commonly used for:

  • Contact forms - Capture inquiries from website visitors
  • Registration forms - Sign up users for events, newsletters, or accounts
  • Application forms - Collect job applications or program applications
  • Order forms - Take orders or reservations
  • Feedback forms - Gather quick feedback or suggestions

Key features:

  • Required and optional fields
  • Field validation (email, phone, etc.)
  • Conditional logic to show/hide fields
  • Custom thank you pages
  • Email notifications

Use forms when you need to collect information without scoring or calculations.

Quizzes

Best for: Testing knowledge or creating personality assessments

Quizzes include correct answers and can display scores or personality results. They're perfect for:

  • Knowledge tests - Test understanding of a topic
  • Personality quizzes - "What type of [X] are you?"
  • Assessments - Evaluate skills or readiness
  • Trivia games - Fun, engaging content for audiences
  • Educational content - Learning with immediate feedback

Key features:

  • Correct answer marking
  • Answer explanations
  • Score calculation
  • Result pages based on score
  • Question randomization

Quizzes show correct answers and explanations after each question or at the end, depending on your settings.

  • Skip logic and branching
  • Response analytics

Surveys typically include more rating scales and open-ended questions than standard forms.

Calculators perform real-time calculations based on user inputs. They're great for:

  • ROI calculators - Show return on investment
  • Pricing calculators - Generate custom quotes
  • Savings estimators - Calculate potential savings

  • Lead capture with results

Calculators are powerful lead magnets - show a preview of results and ask for email to unlock the full breakdown.

Polls are simple, single-question interactions designed for quick responses. Use them for:

  • Quick opinions - Gauge audience sentiment
  • Voting - Let users choose favorites

What if my content fits multiple types?

Choose the type that best matches your primary goal. For example, if you want feedback with some scoring, start with a survey and add quiz elements as needed.

Do all types support the same features?

All types share core features like fields, validation, and thank you pages. Type-specific features (like scoring for quizzes or calculations for calculators) are available based on your selection.
